Updating a hub that has no internet
The files are here, open, with no account. Download one before you walk to the hub.
A hub with no internet still gets updates
A hub that has no internet where it stands still gets updates: you bring them to it. The archive is here, open, with no account and no signing in — a hub in a greenhouse or a workshop may belong to somebody who never made an account at all, and that is allowed.
One thing has to be true before this road opens, and it is worth knowing before you walk anywhere. Taking an update from a file is itself part of the program the hub runs, and that part arrives the ordinary way, over the internet. A hub that has never been online at all cannot take a file yet: give it internet once, let it update itself, and after that it can be fed by hand for as long as you like.
Download it before you go to the hub
This matters more than it sounds. To reach a hub that is not on your home network you join the hub's own network, and that network has no internet in it. Standing in front of the hub with nothing downloaded is the one way to make this trip twice.
Then open the hub's panel, go to About, choose the file, and install. The panel explains the rest where you will be standing: what an update does not carry, why the power should stay on while it installs, and why the account goes on showing the old version until the hub reaches the internet again.
Every file here has already been installed
Every file on this page was installed over the network on our own hub first. There are no candidates here.
You do not have to check the file yourself. The hub checks who signed it, with a key written onto its memory card at the factory, and it will not install anything we did not sign — not a file that broke while it was being copied, and not a file that is not ours.
If your hub says it cannot take a file
Then it runs a program from before this was possible, and the cure is one connection: put the hub on a network that has internet, let it update itself, and the row for choosing a file appears. Carrying it to where there is internet once is a dull afternoon, and it is the whole of it.
If there is no way to give it internet even once, write to support@dotrama.com and tell us where the hub stands. We would rather hear that than have you keep trying: today we have no good answer for it, and that is worth knowing honestly rather than finding out alone.
The files
2.1.291
November 2, 2026 · For orange_pi_zero_2 · 248 MB
The first file on this page. What changed for you is the page itself: a hub with no internet can now be updated by hand. One catch, and it applies only to this first file — the row for choosing a file arrived in 2.1.289, and the only way to get that row was over the internet. So this file installs on a hub already running 2.1.289 or 2.1.290, and on nothing older.
