Core

The native dotrama platform: Zigbee, a live floor plan, a device registry and electricity metering.

What Core is

The hub, and the software that runs on it. One box, plugged into power and your home network.

Everything on this page works today. What does not work yet is listed at the bottom, plainly.

Zigbee is built in

The radio is inside the hub. There is no dongle to buy separately, nothing to plug into a USB port, and no extension cable to keep it away from interference.

Sensors pair from the hub itself: put it into search mode, wake the sensor, and it appears.

The floor plan

Import the plan of your home as a PDF or a DXF drawing. Mark out the rooms, place each device where it physically sits, and that becomes the main screen.

Homes with more than one floor are handled as separate plans.

Rooms, devices and measurements

  • a registry of every paired device, grouped by room
  • climate: temperature, humidity and light level
  • security: motion, presence, door and window contacts, smoke, water leaks
  • plant care: soil moisture, per plant
  • electricity: metered sockets with history
A list of paired devices: model, category, online state, room and current value, with totals by category underneath.
Thirteen devices on one hub: seven climate, four security, one plug, one plant sensor.

Electricity and reports

Consumption is recorded over time and kept on the hub. A report can be generated as a PDF for the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or a period you choose.

This is the part that pays for itself: you can see which appliance is quietly expensive.

Not in Core yet

All of this is in development. It is not in the product today.

  • the editor for scenes and schedules
  • device discovery over Bluetooth and over the local network
  • notifications by push, SMS, phone call and email
